The TENET i2c Program at the University of Calgary offers funding and entrepreneurial training to researchers, clinicians, postdocs, graduate students, and staff to help transform their health research into commercial products or services. Participants gain access to coaching, workshops, and mentorship, preparing them to pitch their innovations at a final competition with the chance to win up to $100,000 for commercialization.
Eligibility:
- Open to researchers, clinicians, postdocs, graduate students, and staff at the University of Calgary.
- Applicants must have a commercially viable health-related research project.
- The project must be developed in Alberta.
- The principal applicant must be affiliated with the University of Calgary and hold a minimum undergraduate degree.
- Applicants must not have participated in previous TENET i2c or REHAB i2c programs.
Benefits:
- Entrepreneurial training and mentorship from the Hunter Hub for Entrepreneurial Thinking.
- In-kind support from partners to accelerate commercialization.
- Participation in workshops covering value proposition, pitching, and marketing.
- A final pitch competition with up to $100,000 in funding for the top projects.
